We are a specialist piling contractor for precast concrete and steel tubular piles, cast-in-situ mini piles, underpinning and associated ground beams. We offer a full, professional design and build service, alternatively we would be pleased to work for you as a traditional sub-contractor.
Our custom-made, top driven piling rigs are specifically designed to work on restricted access sites, such as housing projects, with only a nominal piling mat required. Our precast pile maximum factored working load is 350kN, which customarily equates to a maximum 3 stories of traditional build.
Total Piling Ltd was established in 2008 and has a management and supervisory team with over 200 years combined experience in various foundation systems.
Paul Pendleton, Group Managing Director has over 20 years’ experience in senior roles from Manager to Director level, including several years specifically relating to structural precast foundations.
Phil Bates, Director is a chartered engineer with 35 years’ piling experience, including several years at senior management level with major companies.
Ian Rushworth, Operations Manager has a background in piling spanning 25 years’ working on sites up and down the country, from installing mini piles, ground beams, underpinning systems to existing buildings to installing foundation systems on new builds. Ian has held senior positions from Contracts / Project Manager roles to his current Operations Manager role and holds all relevant and required qualifications such as CSCS / CPCS cards, SSSTS and NVQ’s.
Lisa Henry, Pre-construction Manager has worked at TPL since graduating 6 years ago starting as a trainee estimator alongside and mentored by our Phil Bates, working up to the managerial role she now commands. Lisa has numerous qualifications including CMI Level 4 in Management and Leadership, Civil Engineering degree with honors and is currently working towards becoming an incorporated engineer with The Institution of Civil Engineers.
All our site operatives, foreman and management are fully trained, hold CSCS / CPCS cards relevant to their activities accompanied by the necessary insurance cover. Please see our Company Profile for details.
TPL have worked on an array of projects, from small mini piled extensions to major infrastructure but our main area of expertise is domestic housing in poor ground.
